Morison Global panellists announced for International Women’s Day 2022

Morison Global is excited to announce our celebrations for International Women’s Day 2022 on Tuesday 8 March. This year Morison Global is commemorating the occasion with two events and a thought leadership report. In response to the 2022 theme of #BreakTheBias, we will share in the successes and experiences of our female professionals and celebrate inclusive and genuine leadership.

Lindsay Stevenson CPA, CGMA; Chair, AICPA Women’s Initiative Executive Committee

On Tuesday 8 March 2022 Morison Global will be hosting two events. The first, a Global Experience Sharing Session, will allow members to network with each other to share stories and journeys. Regional board members Isabelle Strecker-Hazan (Aplitec, France) and Afwaz Alkhuzam (Alkhuzam & Co. Kuwait) will lead the conversations. The second event, a Global Panel Discussion, will see our panellists generously share with us their personal and professional journeys, challenges and advice. All guests will be invited to contribute to the discussions.

We are excited that to announce that this second panel event will be facilitated by Lindsay Stevenson CPA, CGMA, the Chair of the AICPA Women’s Initiative Executive Committee. Lindsay has spent the last 15 years serving as a change agent in the accounting profession. As a consultant, she has overseen diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, cultural alignment frameworks, coaching programs, and organizational alignment plans.

The panel consists of various accountancy professionals from Morison Global. These include Simone Wick (Dierkes Partner, Germany), Maria Villamar (Acofi Villamar & Asociados, Guatemala), Gemma McCaldon-Gower (Cowgills, UK), Tyna Adediran (Pedabo, Nigeria) and Sandra Ataman (McCarney Group LLP, Canada). We are fortunate to have these talented colleagues share their successes and challenges with our wider membership. Audience participation is encouraged, with the opportunity to further these conversations after the discussion.

Our celebrations and discussions will formulate sections of our International Women’s Day 2022 report, which will be circulated after the events. We hope with this report that we can begin to provide insight into the varying experiences and encounters of females across the accountancy profession and as an association boldly take steps in breaking the bias universally.

We hope you will join us in celebrating our talented women from around the world.
