Highlights from Hamburg: European Conference 2025

On 22-24 May, we welcomed over 70 attendees to Hamburg for the 2025 European conference. Hosted by member firm Dierkes Partner, delegates enjoyed a varied agenda and lively networking activities.

To open the conference, we were delighted to welcome inspiring keynote speaker Tobias Stieler, a Sports Psychologist and FIFA referee. Through his many years of refereeing, Tobias shared how he is able to make quick decisions while under pressure on the football pitch and how it can be applied to business - this fun and lively session was a great opener to set the scene for the rest of the conference.

Based on members' feedback, the majority of conference sessions were led or facilitated by members – allowing members to learn from their peers, and to give members the opportunity to showcase their expertise and activity.

We were delighted to welcome our newest member firm, Koeleman Groep to their first conference and International Liaison Partner, Barry Damen, made a great first impression presenting their firm to other members.

Members of the Global Office provided updates on the Project Kairos strategy work, an update on Morison Global's marketing activity and the launch of the global engagement programme.

As always, the conference included some fun networking activities, starting with a welcome drinks reception hosted by Dierkes Partner in their beautiful Unesco World Heritage listed office. We enjoyed our gala dinner at the Hafen Klub overlooking the river, complete with live band and dancing, and on the second day the afternoon was spent exploring Hamburg’s harbour by boat, followed by dinner at the Groninger Hamburg Brewery.

We have received some great feedback from members, as well as suggestions for future events which are always welcome.

Thanks to all our conference speakers and to our fantastic host firm, Dierkes Partner!

One of the main objectives of attending conferences is for our members to network and make new and strengthen existing connections within the Association. As always it was great to see this in action in Hamburg! Our Morison members have deep connections and friendships with each other, which is something special and at the heart of Morison's DNA.
