Morison Global Week 2026

15 Jun, 2026

Michelle Mead

Last week we celebrated Morison Global Week – an opportunity for the Association to come together and celebrate values in action through the sharing of Impact Initiatives our firms deliver to create positive social, environmental or economic change in local communities. Below are just some of the impactful work being delivered by Morison Global and its members.

Connection, Care, and Conversation – supporting our community in London

On Thursday 11 June, the Morison Global Office team and volunteers from member firm, Nyman Libson Paul, had the privilege of spending the day at Stones End Day Centre in Central London. Stones End does remarkable work supporting older adults with care needs, helping them stay healthy, independent, and connected through daily activities, companionship, and an unwavering commitment to putting people first. We joined in with the morning activities, danced and sang and spent time getting to know the wonderful members who make this place so special. It was heart warming, and a lot of fun.

Loneliness and isolation among older adults is one of the quiet crises of our time, and centres like Stones End Day Centre are on the frontline of changing that, one hot drink, one conversation, one shared activity at a time. We’d like to thank the team at Stones End, AGE UK and Hands on London who coordinated the activity on our behalf, for welcoming us so warmly. Thanks also to Nyman Libson Paul volunteers for giving their time and energy today – what a team!

Supporting education, opportunity and the next generation

Supporting the next generation continues to be an important part of DIERKES Partner’s commitment beyond everyday business.
This year, the firm has once again supported several inspiring initiatives focused on development, community and future opportunities for young people. These include supporting, and assisting with the organisation of the Summer Time Tax initiative together with the Interdisciplinary Centre for International Finance and Taxation (IIFS), supporting summer camps for Hamburg elementary school children, and welcoming young talents to learn more about careers in the profession during Girls’ & Boys’ Day. Whether through promoting education, encouraging language development, providing practical professional insights or creating spaces where children and young people can grow with confidence, each project reflects the importance of early support and meaningful experiences.
We’re proud to share the impactful work DIERKES is delivering to contribute to initiatives that help shape the future.

Supporting inclusion through Special Olympics Switzerland

Fineac, Switzerland was a proud co-sponsor of the Special Olympics National Summer Games which was held on 28 – 31 May 2026 in Zug. The Games, which welcomed thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities from across Switzerland, is an event which stand for inclusion, respect, determination and the unifying power of sport, creating unforgettable moments both on and off the field.
Fineac was proud to support the Games as a co-sponsor and as part of their commitment, provided accounting services to support the organisation behind the scenes. In addition, several of their employees also volunteered during the Games. For Fineac, supporting initiatives like the Special Olympics goes far beyond financial or professional contributions. It is about promoting equal opportunities, strengthening community spirit and helping create an environment where everyone can participate and feel valued.
This is an excellent example of supporting important causes and delivering impactful and positive contributions in local communities – great work Fineac, we’re proud to have you as a member!

Passion for supporting charities which benefit local communities

UK member, Ormerod Rutter, has an active programme throughout the year of supporting different charities and causes which directly benefit local communities. On 10 May, thirty two members of the Ormerod Rutter Chartered Accountants team laced up their trainers to take part in the Bromsgrove Blood Cancer Run. Participants chose between a 5k and a 10k route, across a challenging, hilly course. Every member of the OR team rose to the occasion and crossed the finish line cheered on by colleagues who came out to support them at the finish.
Together, the team raised over £3,000 for Blood Cancer UK, a charity close to their hearts.

Last month, some members of the team spent a day helping the Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre – a registered charity offering advice and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and families. The Ormerod team volunteered their time, helping the charity prepare stock ready for sale. Thanks for sharing these excellent charitable efforts – and for making a real impact!

Fuelling Futures, One Breakfast at a Time

One of the incredible charities supported by our member firm, Hayes Knight, is Foodbank – an organisation dedicated to helping people across the country who, for whatever reason, are unable to put food on the table.
Hayes Knight has supported Foodbank for a number of years, with a focus on creating meaningful, long-term impact – not just meeting an immediate need but contributing to systemic change. Earlier this year, Foodbank invited Hayes Knight to support its schools programme, which provides breakfast to children who would otherwise start the day without one. The evidence is clear: when children have access to breakfast, the improvements in both learning outcomes and behaviour are significant. Through its Foundation, Hayes Knight has committed to funding 30,000 breakfasts for schools participating in the programme this year – helping ensure more children start their day ready to learn, engage, and thrive.

This week, Greg Hayes attended one of the schools in the Foodbank program and had the opportunity to serve breakfast to the children and to see the charity in action. It’s great to see another example of our members making an impact in their local communities!
