Making an impact in 2026

At Morison Global our collective impact matters and we believe in creating meaningful contributions to and positive impact on the communities we are active in.

From 8-12 June 2026 it’s Morison Global Week – a special opportunity for the Association to come together and showcase our values in action. Throughout the week, members will share their Impact Initiatives, highlighting the many ways they create positive social, environmental, and economic change within their local communities.

These initiatives take many forms, from offering pro-bono services to local not-for-profit organisations, to fundraising for charitable causes, or even promoting wellbeing in the workplace by bringing colleagues together for simple but meaningful moments of connection, such as a coffee and catch-up.

As we begin preparations for Morison Global Week, we are pleased to share just a few examples of the inspiring ways our members are already making a positive difference in their communities and workplaces.

Building a sustainable future: The Avincla Forest Project

Avincla’s (Spain) history has been built on strong bonds of trust, closeness, and commitment with its clients, team, and partners. As the firm continues to grow and evolve, it recognises the importance of expanding that commitment beyond its immediate network and into the wider world around it.

As Ignasi Contreras, Partner at Avincla explains: “We believe our commitment must extend to creating lasting connections with the environment we live in, contributing to a more sustainable, balanced, and humane future for us all. This is where the Avincla forest project was born”.

The Avincla Forest Project is a reforestation initiative developed in collaboration with Bosquia Nature. The initiative reflects the firm’s belief in building long-term relationships. Each tree symbolises the bonds and connections the firm shares with its clients and team. The project begins with the planting of 350 trees in Grandas de Salime (Asturias), in an area affected by wildfires and registered in the official carbon sink registry of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITERD). Over the next three years, the goal is to help restore at least one hectare of forest, while also sharing the initiative with the team and clients so that, together, the forest can continue to grow beyond this initial planting. Learn more about the project at: https://www.bosque.avincla.com

For Avincla, this initiative reflects the firm’s determination to align its values with the broader challenges facing society today. It represents a commitment to supporting a more ethical, conscious, and sustainable way of living, consuming, and connecting with one another. The project also serves as a reminder that businesses can play a meaningful role in protecting the natural environment and creating a better future for generations to come.

Connecting community, creativity, and entrepreneurship

Kurtz Fargo LLP (Colorado) believes that the spaces we work in should reflect a firm’s values. This is why they have featured the work of a local artist and entrepreneur, Will Day, as a cornerstone of the design of their Boulder and Denver offices.
Will curated and painted site-specific pieces for each of their offices, making the art an integral part of the design. His work brings energy, movement, and intention into Kurtz Fargo’s working spaces, creating an environment that inspires collaboration, trust, and forward thinking.

Matt Fargo, Managing Partner said “Supporting Colorado artists goes beyond aesthetics. It’s about investing in the creative community that makes this place special, and recognising that innovation doesn’t live in just one industry.”

When company values are visible in the physical workspace, they become more tangible and meaningful to staff. This can have a powerful impact on how people feel, think, and collaborate at work.

Building positivity and teamwork beyond the office

Hussain Farhad & Co. (Bangladesh) understand the importance of promoting teamwork and the positive feeling of community. Each year the firm organises an annual Family Picnic Day for all employees, families and children. This annual gathering is a wonderful opportunity to connect, have fun and celebrate the people that make up the HFC family.

M Farhad Hussain, Managing Partner said: “Having regular events like these strengthen friendships, build stronger bonds, and remind us that being part of the HFC family goes far beyond the workplace. It’s about community, support, and creating memories together.”

At Villaruz, Villaruz CPA (Philippines), the value of teamwork and meaningful connection within the workplace is deeply embraced. The VVC team regularly comes together through activities such as Summer Outings, Outreach Activities, and Monthly General Assemblies, creating opportunities for insightful discussions, collaboration, and shared experiences. These gatherings blend learning, camaraderie, and fun, showcasing the creativity, enthusiasm, and strong sense of community that define the VVC workplace. In its November Monthly General Assembly, the firm hosts its annual costume party, where employees and their families, including children, actively participate—making the event even more vibrant and memorable.

Normita Villaruz, Managing Partner said: “We believe that holding such gatherings strengthens workplace relationships. It’s not only about professional collaboration it is also about building a supportive community where people feel connected, appreciated, and inspired.”

Fundraising for good causes and promoting positive team spirit

Tal & Tanker (Denmark) regularly organises and participates in fundraising activities with employees, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting important causes in their community.
The most recent initiative saw the Tal & Tanker team swapping their usual office attire for football shirts in support of Børnecancerfonden, a children’s cancer charity. By taking part in “Football shirt Friday”, employees raised an impressive DKK 5,751. The firm then matched the amount, bringing the total donation to DKK 11,502 for the children’s cancer charity.

Adding to the excitement of the day, the team welcomed a special visit from Mads Freundlich of Silkeborg IF A/S, who stopped by to present the team with a signed player’s football shirt. The day concluded with a team lunch and a lively Football Quiz, creating a fun and memorable atmosphere for everyone involved.

Martin Brinch Therkelsen, International Partner said: “Having days dedicated to fundraising such as this not only allows us to raise funds for great and important causes, but it also brings our employees together in a different way and helps promote a positive team spirit.”

We will be sharing more examples of the excellent work our members are carrying out to make an impact in their communities. For members wanting to get involved, check out the members site.
